Skanderborg Chamber Choir is a mixed choir from Skanderborg in Jutland, Denmark. The choir was founded in 1989 and our conductor is Niels Bo Emgren.
The choir has a very wide repertoire consisting mainly of classical music, much of it ecclesiastical. We perform music from the Renaissance to the present day, including composers such as Palestrina, J. S. Bach,Brahms, Mozart, Buxtehude, Carl Nielsen, Niels LaCour, Ola Geilo, as well as a number of Christmas Carols arranged by Sir David Wilcox and John Rutter.
Every other year we have a tour outside Denmark, and we have given concerts in St. Petersburg, Florence, Rome, Granada, Barcelona, Alicante, Rothenburg, and Sardinia, Sicily, Malta, Mallorca, Cyprus and Portugal. This year we went to Sicily again.
